AtlantisFX | The change from one blockchain to another does not guarantee anonymity, Heise reported on August 30 with reference to a new study.

Sarah Meiklejohn, associate professor of cryptography and security at University College London, describes in a new paper how users can be traced across different blockchains. The researcher is considered a pioneer of so-called blockchain tracking, with which transactions can be tracked on a blockchain to find out the identity of users.

Camouflage through cross-blockchain transactions to be sure despite these techniques already developed by law enforcement agencies, crypto users have hitherto used exchange systems and anonymity-preserving crypto-exchanges to bring digital money from a less secure to an anonymous blockchain.
