AtlantisFX | Japanese technology research firm Fujitsu Laboratories has developed a blockchain-based solution for assessing user data, identity and trustworthiness in online transactions, according to Fujitsu's July 4 announcement.
As reported, the solution takes into account user ratings stored on a blockchain to calculate a "trustworthiness value" for each user. Users are reportedly evaluating each other when a transaction is taking place, and the technology is evaluating that data to assess their relationships with each other.
Other users can then see what another person's confidence score is before they agree to a transaction, the announcement said.
